In loving memory of our dearest Ann Ever since we got to know Ann over three decades ago when George and Emma got together, we have been so lucky to have had her in our lives. Ann was family to us, and we loved her so much. She was wonderfully warm, cheerful and funny, and always took an interest in our lives; full of empathy and a voice of sanity in an ever-changing world. Ann’s presence never failed to light up the room, and we were always so happy to see her and share the latest goings-on with her. She had a such a wry and witty sense of humour and was great company. She was also incredibly kind and generous, making thoughtful gifts and treats, and wanting to be of help to all that knew her. Ann had lived such a full, storied and interesting life, and you could chat with her for hours and learn so much from her experiences. We will also never forget her wonderful sense of hospitality, hosting so many joyous times at York Lodge, where laughter and jollity were always in the air to accompany Ann’s amazing cooking. We are so sad to have lost Ann, but she has left an indelible mark on our family and will always be burning bight in our hearts. God bless you Ann, now that you are reunited with Michael. With love and deepest affection, Nicholas & Katerina Jeffrey

Thoughts

In loving memory of Grandma Min: Grandma Min, a cherished member of our extended family, has left an indelible mark on our hearts and lives. Though distance separated us for much of the year, her impact on our lives was profound and lasting. As my brother's mother-in-law, she embraced us all with open arms, becoming an integral part of our family tapestry despite the miles between us. Grandma Min's presence was a gift that enriched not only my life but also the lives of my children: Kalypso, Alkioni, Elli, and Antonis. Her warmth and love knew no bounds, extending far beyond traditional family lines and geographical distances. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and loved, creating a sense of belonging that transcended generations and borders. The Christmas seasons we spent together were magical, with Grandma Min's presence adding an extra layer of love and comfort to our holiday celebrations. Her festive spirit and family traditions made these gatherings truly special, creating memories that will be treasured forever. The summer visits were equally precious, filled with joy and laughter that seemed to make time stand still. To my children, Grandma Min was more than just a relative; she was a loving grandmother figure who showered them with affection during our visits. She helped shape their understanding of family, love, and compassion, proving that strong bonds can flourish even with limited time together. Her influence on their lives will continue to resonate for years to come. Her wisdom, gained through years of life experiences, was a treasure trove of knowledge that she generously shared with us. Whether offering sage advice or simply lending a listening ear, she made every moment count during our time together. Her infectious smile and kind spirit had the power to brighten even the darkest of days, leaving us with a warmth that lingered long after we returned to Greece. As we bid farewell to Grandma Min, we take solace in the beautiful memories and the lasting impact she has had on our lives. Her legacy of love, kindness, and family unity will forever remain in our hearts. While she may no longer be with us physically, her spirit lives on through the values she instilled and the love she shared during our precious visits. Grandma Min, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Your love and the memories we created together, though limited in frequency, were limitless in depth and meaning. They will continue to guide and inspire Kalypso, Alkioni, Elli, Antonis, and myself. May you rest in peace, knowing that you were truly loved and that your life touched ours in the most profound ways, bridging the distance between us with your boundless affection.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
